What’s the difference between android 2.1 and 2.2?

I am trying to decide if I should get the samsung moment or intercept soon, and I think it is going to comedown to if android 2.2 on the intercept will make the phone much better than the moment, despite the moment having a much better screen, internet speed, and camera flash. Please tell me the difference and which of these phones you think is better?
