I want to learn photography…beginners SLR camera?

I’m 14 years old and I want to learn photography. I always try to take pictures with my phone…I use it more for taking pictures than texting or talking. My parents won’t let me buy a normal digital camera to begin with because we already have a few lying around the house (they never show me where they are…) So I’ve decided to save up and just start with a digital SLR camera. My high school offers photography classes but sadly, freshmen don’t usually get into that class.

Well i’m 16 and just bought my first SLR camera. It set me back 1000 dollars though but it was worth it. When picking a camera i like to go for the Nikons. They seem to be the best kind. Cannon’s are good also. I purchased a Nikon D5000 When it first came out and i love it. The screen flips out and swivels to make it easier for taking self portraits and pictures at awkward angles. It also comes with preinstalled photoediting software on the camera so you can edit your pictures without a computer. It’s a really good career to go into. But honestly if it’s going to be something your going to stick to, always have a backup plan because while it can be fun, it might not make enough money to support you in life. It’s not a steady paying job.
