My Canon Powershot SD1000 lens is stuck. Where can I repair it?
Okay… so my cousins and I were at Canada’s Wonderland and while we were sitting down we had the camera open. I had the camera, and my cousin took it away from me. Suddenly all you see is the camera being thrown away, downwards on the floor. “OH CRAP!”.
When we got the camera off the ground, we tried closing the camera but the camera lens WOULDN’T CLOSE :S
What appeared on the screen was a black screen and then at the bottom left corner ” Lens Error, Restart Camera”
When I looked at the camera I noticed that the lenses we’re uneven 
My question is:
- Where can I repair it for a cheap price? My parents are going to kill me if they find out. (By the way, I live in Mississauga, ON)
- I had this camera since October and I bought warranty .. will anything happen?
- I bought this camera at Best Buy

Call the Canon help line and they will help … 800.OK-CANON
Unless you bought the type “warranty” that covers damage to the camera, no … your cousin throwing your camera is not covered … that behaviour is considered abuse. Sorry, but it seems that your cousin needs to replace your camera for you.
