should i but pv-gs500 now or wait until hd camcorders are more affordable?

i have an infant and have been waiting to see if the ‘perfect’ hd camera would come out, but it seems like it might take awhile…too much debate about harddrive vs. dvtape. I figure i might as well use a proven media and camcorder – panasonic’s pv-gs500 seems best. (i don’t like sony’s touch screen and canon doesn’t have anything i am crazy about)

get it now, as your child will be all grown up in no time.
