camcorder video capture software

USB – A/V Cable adapter… I need to hook up my Sony Handycam to my computer to capture the video…HELP!!!?
On the instructions to transfer the video from my handycam (CCD-TRV138) it says to hook up the camcorder to your computer via a/v cables, you must have the video capture software, blah blah blah… My computer does not have A/V jacks on it so I was wondering if they make USB – A/V adapters that you could hook up via USB port on any computer & hook the A/V cables to that, then of course the A/V cables to the device. I “googled” it & came up with several results & this is one of them. (The link is to the webpage with the picture of what I had an idea of)http://www.pcuniverse.com/product.asp?pid=3148621&m_id=32
The A/V cable that came with the camcorder (to hook up to TVs & VCRs) has the yellow & black heads – not the yellow red & white like alot of devices come with) Can anyone tell me if I am along the right lines of how to do this. Is this the correct adapter/cable I would need to hook my camcorder up to my computer. If not can you point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!
