am i using the right batteries in my digital camera?
i have a kodak easyshare c533 digital camera w/ g600 printer dock. the batteries that came w/ the camera (kodak alkaline aa) worked for a few hours before they died. i tried recharging them using the printer dock (ac adapter), but the little battery light on the dock never went on. also, the green light on the camera flashed for 15 minutes before the camera shut off by itself. i’m assuming the batteries that came w/ the camera are non-rechargeable, correct? also, i looked it up, and it says my camera only takes a certain type of battery, and alkaline wasn’t even listed! i tried installing brand new alkaline batteries in my camera (sony new ultra aa), but the camera would not power on. the green light flashed once and then the red light flashed several times before the camera shut off. given alkaline batteries DO work (even for a few minutes!), do you think this is a problem w/ my camera or the batteries? should i get ni-mh (rechargeable) batteries instead? or is my camera defective?
Definitely get the camera checked, but we use lithium batteries in our digital camera. They are expensive, but one set lasts as long as a year, and we take a lot of pictures.
