camera canon rebel xsi

Nikon D200 or Canon Rebel XSI DSLR camera?
I would like to buy a DSLR camera for commercial use (in studio and outdoor) but i need a good recommendation. Which of the two is better? Any other model in mind? Please note: I only have about $800-$900 to spend on both camera body and at least 1 lens and I’m willing to purchase on e-bay.
Mark is absolutely correct with his answer before me. Neither model is classified by Canon as a “Professional Grade” camera for commercial or industrial use. That doesn’t mean you could not get good results from either of them, provided that you don’t go too big with the enlargements. This is because neither camera utilized a “full frame” sensor such as the ones found in the Canon EOS 1Ds or Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
The cheapest camera that Canon offers for “Professional Use” would be the Canon EOS 5D Mark II which presently sells for around $2,400-2,600. without the lens. I can attest to the professional quality of this camera because I also own one. I also own the Canon EOS Rebel XSi, and while the XSi is an awesome camera….it does not offer the same level of quality as the Canon EOS 5D, Mark II.
