Digital Camera Question: How do I know if the camera I am to purchase will download to my computer?
I am thinking of an entry-level Samsung ES-15 and don’t know how to know if I can download pics to my computer. What do I look for in any digital camera? Thanks.
Regarding if the camera can download to your computer, the answer will always be yes. All digital cameras were meant to transfer files to your computer (via memory card or USB cable).
My recommendation in what to look for in a camera now days:
1. Make sure the camera has at least 8 to 10 megapixels. If more than that, then it’s even better.
2. Be sure that the processing time after you take a picture is 3 seconds or less before you are able to take another picture right away.
3. Optical zoom is more important than Digital Zoom. Make sure to have at least 10x optical zoom.
4. Make sure that the movie mode takes High Definition movies. Tell the salesman that you want either 720p or 1080p resolution movies.
5. Check that the battery life lasts up to 400 photos. Anything less and you will need to have to buy a second battery.
Hope these 5 things help you out.
