underwater photography?
what underwater camera would you recommend and why, be it and actual underwater camera, or one that requires a separate housing? if it helps i would be shooting mainly action shots (surfing/kite surfing) but also want the option to shoot macro? any suggestions?
It’s really difficult to recommend anything without a budget. I guess I would suggest the Canon D10 which is a compact underwater camera (up to 10 meters). If you already own a DSLR, you could buy yourself something like a Dicapac underwater case for about $150….but hard cases get really expensive. The most expensive I’ve seen is a Subal for nearly $5000 (this is just the case, not the camera). Ikelite make one for around $1500. I saw one a while ago for $500 but I can’t remember the brand.
So unless you are made of money the Canon D10 starts to look really attractive.
