Can someone help me find a store online in China which sells Cameras?

Hi,
I am looking for a Canon EOS 7D camera and hear they are cheaper in China! I have found loads of sites online but the problem is finding out if they are reputable! Has anyone bought electrical goods from China and what was your experience etc.

Hi, you may actually find that the camera could cost you more buying from china. If the camera is manufactured in another country and imported then it will be heavily taxed in china(they want to sell their own goods). I know this from having lived in china for 3 months. I have a Nikon D80 and tried to buy a lense and flash there but found I couldn’t get it cheaper as they are made in Thailand and imported.

If you can get it cheaper then there is always a possiblity its a copy. This is probably unlikely as due to the compexity of that camera but one thing I found when I was over is that everything can be copied(and most things were) if there is money to be made from it so you cant rule it out.

Also consider that you may have to pay import tax and VAT. I have been stung by that in the past.

My advice would be shop around on the net closer to home for the camera as you might find a cracking deal if your lucky. Don’t be afraid to ask for a discount also. I do often and often it works(they can only say no).
