Bait and switch online camera stores?

Ok so I know the drill….you place your order, you get a call a day or two later to “verify” the order except it’s just a high-pressure sales call or they tell you there’s something missing like a battery pack or that the manual is in Japanese or something like that, but OTHER than that, is it really bad ordering from these kinds of online stores? I mean, the prices are better than anywhere else, so if I can get through the sales call, isn’t it still a good deal? Anyone had any experience with these kinds of stores? Good or bad?

It is not a good deal at all. The price seems much cheaper but keep in mind that they often don’t have the correct accessories that should come with the camera. You will end up having to buy a battery, charger, neck strap, software, and USB cord. The lens that they will send you will be a very cheap third party knock off. Then of course there will be no US warranty. Spend the extra money. It is well worth it.
