camera outline
fuji camera, please help!?
(i have very little experience with camera)
I need to buy a digital camera for a 1st yr course. The requirement on the course outline says that I need a Digital camera with a minimum 4 megapixel, capture in RAW file format capability, and have manual control capability.
it does not specify “dslr” so what iam wondering is does the requirements obviously describes a dslr?
if so please recommend me a fuji camera (since it’s cheep) that has all the requirements.

I am not majoring in photography, nor is it a photgraphy school. it is an elective course I need to take.
I’m thinking that it would have to be a DSLR if this is a dedicated photography school. If your major is something else other than photography than it might not have to be. But than again, for something else other than a full photography program, what difference does it make if the camera needs RAW file format capability? If you’re going to a photography school FOR photography than you ought to have a DSLR and a pretty good one at that to make the most out of your education. You’d probably want to find out, if you can, before you commit to any purchase. I wouldn’t get something just to meet the bare minimum requirement. Photography is going to end up costing you more anyway by the time you’re done.
