how to connect a digital camera to laptop whilst taking pictures using PC SYNC?

i just wondered how to connect my Fuji Finepix S9600 to my laptop whilst im taking photos like they do in studio’s?? When i have seen this they take a picture and its goes instantly to their laptop on what looks like a piece of 3rd party software. All the time i have seen this the camera is connected to the laptop via a cable which i think is connected to the PC Sync terminal but cant seem to find a cable for this on the net anywhere and im sure my camera has this. So what i want is to find out if i can do this (with finepix s9600) and do i need to buy some more software or can it be done with vista??? Please help!!!

It only works with some cameras–called tethered mode. I don’t think it would work with yours.

It needs the driver, then the program to control the camera (from the computer)–not the other way around, then another program to show and edit the photos.
