PC World – very NON PC – need advice?

I bought a digital camera and more recetly a PC from PC World. Both are faulty and in particular the Hewlett Packard printer (photosmart3210) will not feed paper through properly. I bought it less than 6 months ago and PC World inform me that it is no longer their responsibility and I need to go direct to the manufacturer. The Sale of Goods Act tells me different and that the retailer is 100% responsible for the goods whilst in warrantly. I am worried that PC World are not going to take me seriously and just turn me away OR offer an exact replacement. Reviews online tell me that my problem is not unique. I have written to HP and am waiting for a response.
Has anybody else had issue with PC World and what did you do? They seem to have 400 staff to every store but limited help in every store!

Emmylou, PC world are talking out of their backsides. You are clever enough to check the sale of goods act which is good. I work for a retailer, if someone buys something from us, It is warrantied by us for 12 months by law. After that it does need to be taken up with the original supplier of manufacturer. Best thing to do is call or email the Citizens advice bureau, they can give you free advice on such matters. Hope this Helps
