Horizontal lines come on TV screen when Audio cable is attached from Yamaha mixer FX-24 to the camera. Why ?
We record a programme(speech and the musical with vocals and chorus) every week, which is held on a school ground. A setup of two cameras is used (Sony PD170 and a Sony Handicam). On the ground 3 projectors and TV monitors are placed for viewing the event. A Yamaha FX-24 mixer is used for audio. As soon as the audio cable is attached to the phones of the mixer for output to the cameras (as connecting to any other out socket from mixer or amplifier distorts the sound when musical programme is on) horizontal band appear on the TV which travel from top to bottom. why does this happen. ? Any solution.
It is call “ground loop”.Try to use the “Audio main outputs” of the mixer.
