camera quality settings

!!!digital camera settings: fine, normal, or economy? which is better?
i have a exilim casio 8.1 mega pixels digital camera.(hoping i said the name right!)
what do the settings for quality; fine, normal, and economy mean?
which setting is the best quality?
thank you.
(:
Fine quality will give you the best photos, with sharper details at a larger file size.
Normal quality is a medium quality, with a matching reduction in the file size.
Economy quality is probably only good for emailing, not printing, and uses the smallest file size.
As the quality goes down, so does the size of the files.
Why would someone choose anything other than “Fine” for photo quality? I don’t have the slightest idea! Memory cards are so cheap now, that to choose a smaller file size/quality setting is false economy. You can buy a 2gb memory card for under $15 now, and that will allow you to store a couple of hundred photos with most cameras. Download the photos to your computer, format (erase) your memory card, and you’re back in business. Going on a trip or to a very special occasion? Bring two or three memory cards.
Just remember this, if you set your camera for “Fine” mode and later want to reduce the size of the photo, it’s easy. If you want to
Think of it this way, VHS tapes can record on EP (economy) or SP (standard). Anyone who’s ever watched an EP copy of a tape has seen the difference.
