What’s the most inexpensive digital camera that has an external (wired or wireless) shutter release?

I’m looking to pair up two still digital cameras so I can take stereoscopic images, but I need to fire them off at the same instant. Because of that, I need to find two of the same camera that have remote shutter controls I can wire together or trip at the same time.

If not having the latest and greatest cameras isn’t a big concern… I’d go with a pair of Canon Powershot G6’s. They are good quality cameras that can be picked up relatively inexpensive these days and can be triggered by a wireless remote. As always, remember to prefocus if you want the cameras to fire at the same instant.
