Want a digital camera that doesn’t shut off between shots. Camera that stays on until I shut it off?
In cameras before digital, I turn the camera on, and I can take any picture I want in whatever time lag between shots. I was given a digital camera, but when I turn it on and take a picture, it is already shut down when I want to snap the next one.
Are there and good digital cameras that stay on long enough for me to get off the next shot without my having to turn it on again?
I think you may be referring to what’s known as “shutter lag”. This is endemic with the common “point & shoot” digicams. This is largely due to their rather slow Analog to Digital converters and is exacerbated when using flash.
A DSLR from Sony or Pentax or Nikon or Canon or Fuji or Olympus or Sigma will cure the problem.
