Question about Kodack Camera?

Hi,
Ive had the Kodack easyShare v550 camera for about three or more years now. it has been working great for me. But– one day i picked it up, and tried to shut it off, or turn it on and the zoom, barrel, lens (whatever u may call it) did not zoom back in to its closed position.
The lense simply moved a bit and stayed OUT. : (
is there something i can do to fix this?
and is there a place I can go in nyc or.. any other store and have it fixed?
is this a fixable problem, or do i have to buy a whole new camera? thanks.
ps. And if u know a good store i can take it too, pleeease let me know!

Check the Battery connection and condition. It might not be the camera at all.
