camera terms f stop
light graffiti with a film camera!??!?

i have a nikon manual fm10 and i’m planing on painting with (light grafitti) and im not sure what the settings should be. I’m a photography major in high school so im familiar with f-stops and all the terms but im just no sure what to set it on!
its going to be dark, of course, and im using sparklers, LED lights etc.
what f-stop/apeture would i set it on?

Do you have digital camera too? Set it to the same ISo as the film you have in the camera… and practice a few shots.

You will still need to bracket with the film camera. Be bold, try 10-20-30 seconds at f/8. Write down the shutter speed and aperture for each shot! Guessing later how you had the camera set up won’t help you.

Once you get the prints made, compare, and decide the proper exposure.

Then, you can get an entire roll of film with predictable results.
