digital camera continuous shooting speed

First Digital SLR camera?
I’m interested in digtal SLR photography but I’m wondering which is a good camera to start with. I was thinking about the Canon 450d because of it’s continuous shooting speed and live view as well as it’s nine auto focus points. I’m really totally new to digital slr photography though I have used non auto focus film SLRs, but I’m not interested in buying a crappy camera to start off with.
Budget is around £500 for camera body
450D has a relatively poor continuous speed. Compared to the 40D at 6.5fps, and the 1D mkIII you’re getting a 10fps monster. Even the 30D can do 5fps and has a larger buffer.
If you can stretch to £650 (£500 used on amazon) for a body then you can get a 40D from amazon. If not, £300 will get you a 30D.
Realistically you should be thinking what lenses to get. Since the lens makes the camera really. Also you probably will find a flash and some other accessories handy.
