is Shutter speed: 1/2 to 1/2000 seconds for a digital camera good/ fast??

i have a sony cybershot camera…but it annoys the hell out of me because i feel it takes too long to take pictures….is this rate…Shutter speed: 1/2 to 1/2000 seconds quick?

What you need is a digital SLR camera. If you had even a decent SLR you would throw your old camera away.

With an SLR you can stop a hummingbirds wings inflight!

Only buy a camera from a true camera manufacturer. Like Canon or Nikon they both make amazing optics. Sony and Toshiba makes great stereos, TVs, DVD players and of course the famous Sony walkman.

I recommend the Canon Digital Rebel XT or the Nikon D70 and at least a 4mb memory card.

If you have long dollars get a Canon EOS 1d. I have one and it can takes 10 pictures in one second at upto 1/8000 sec.
