digital camera iso explained
Digital Camera dummy user here!?

Could somebody please explain what the following functions ACTUALLY does for the quality of a digi cam? Appreciate it! :)
1. EV Shift
2. White balance
3. ISO
4. AF Area
5. Metering
Obviously, I do not have the manual with me..

1. Exposure Value shift. That helps you over-or under-expose a picture. In other words, you can make it lighter or darker than usual.

2. It’s for the color shift of a camera. If your indoor pictures are too orange, or your outdoor pictures are too blue, you can change it to a more neutral color shift.

3. That’s just the “film speed”. Higher numbers for lower light.

4. Auto Focusing area. If you want the camera to focus off-center, use this.

5. Metering is measuring the light that comes into the camera to make your exposure.
