digital camera landscape mode
Is there a way to rotate a video clip (counter clockwise) shot with a digital camera?

I shot a short video clip and I needed the video to be more of a “portrait mode” instead of “landscape” mode. I rotated the camera as I would do for a still shot.I haven’t used the video mode much on my camera as you can tell so I didn’t think about this problem before hand.

I hope there’s a way to fix this via some software I can purchase.

Thanks.

No even with sophisticated camcorders, the shooting aspect ratio is fixed … so it will fit on a TV or motion picture screen.

While many cameras will allow you to adjust the aspect ratio to 2:3 or 3:4 or even 9:16 wide-screen.

I am sure there is some kind of masking magic you can do to affect that kind of image, but you will have to shoot it in camera and then add a mask to each frame later. A lot of work, but maybe worth it to you.
