My daughter wants a digital camera with 7+ megapixels and says it costs around $100. Is there such a thing?

I don’t see anything less than about $200 and much higher.

check wamart.com – they have a kodak that is $89 but it is out of stock online right now. they have several 7 mp cameras that run about $120. good cameras, good brands. check ‘em out.
