In the US why do Jews have so much influence?

I was in NYC 2 years ago and had a camera stolen along with some cash, this Jew come in complaining that her young Jewish neighbour had been ‘assaulted’ in the play ground, turned out this snot nosed kid was pushed off a swing by another kid, same age. Anyway the Cops made such a huge deal out of it, it seemed because the complainant was Jewish, seriously in Australia the kid would have just been slapped for not pushing back! Why do Jews in the US have so much influence and are wrapped up in cotton wool?

they run hollywood and america they are the richest ethnic group in america they only make up 2.5% of the population 7 million total. but they hold high positions in society. jews have always known to be a very successful group that is why so many ppl hate on them.
