What is the average battery life in a camera?
I recently bought myself a Canon Powershot A520 and I found that my batteries [yes, rechargeable] are running out of juice rather quickly.. I knew that digital cameras sucked the juice out of batteries like a *****, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this quickly. So what’s the average life span of 2 AA batteries in your digital cameras?
the big problem with battery life is how long you leave the monitor on — if you have a point-and-shoot that keeps the monitor lit all the time, you’ll eat up a lot of battery power pretty quickly. If you can shut down the monitor and still take shots, that’s the easiest way to increase battery life. [many SLRs the monitor shows the photo for a couple of seconds and then shuts down after a picture is taken.]
