What is the meaning of changing news camera ?
well i have always wondered why the anchormen change from camera to camera during the news that does just not make any sense ? here in Denmark, where i come from, they do that to, i just always thought it was something we did because other countries did it, but i heard that there are some other reason for it ? please leave source unless sure of answer !
I can think of several reasons:
1) In earlier times, before the digital age, it would be a nice way to change the background image to the image needed for the next story. And for historical reasons you still do it
2) It is a way to signal to the viewers that you are changing to a new story
3) It is a way to keep people interested. If your angle never changes people might falling asleep, or decide that nothing is happening and change channels.
Personally I think it is stupid. I get really stressed when the image changes all the time, and I have trouble focusing on what is actually said.
