What are your favorite photography books?
I am a serious photography hobbyist. I am struggling with outdoor lighting while taking outdoor portraits. I want to learn how to use the light the correct way. I also want to learn how to use my flash. What are some of your favorite books on these subjects?
Bob Krist’s “Secrets to Lighting on Location” is a must-have, and details the methods used for dealing with and controlling all kinds of light, from natural to supplemental. Steve Bavister’s book “Lighting for Portrait Photography” is also a good one for the fundamentals of lighting for portraiture.
These two are excellent, and should get you started.
