What laptop should i get?
I’m a student so i need powerpoint, microsoft word, and excel and i do photography & logo design & editing videos. I don’t want any viruses (i don’t think anyone does) and i don’t want a huge, heavy thing i have to carry around. I want internet i can rely on pretty much everywhere…even in mexico. I listen to a lot of music so i need a good amount of memory & i like chatting on web cams. I was leaning towards a mac but the prices scare me. please help…thanx ;]
Sounds like you’ll want something in the way of a MacBook. They’re lightweight, have a built in cam, loads of memory, the wonderful Mac OS X operating system – plus they just released new models and dropped the price on the previous generation MacBook. These start around $999.
If you have a little more money you might want to consider the new 13″ MacBook Pro – same size/weight as the MacBook but with more memory and a larger hard drive.
If you need somthing uber portable (and have even more money to spend) check out the MacBook Air. The only downside of the Air is that it does not have an ethernet port – which means you always have to have access to a wifi access point.
