photography logos examples
My photos could be ads for certain companies. How do I sell the photos to them?
I am a semi-pro photographer (I get paid for it) who loves to take various photos just for fun. I’m working on a self-portrait project at the moment, and a lot of these photos involve certain products and/or company logos, etc.
I’m constantly told that these companies should pay me for my photos (by people who don’t really know what they’re talking about, but still).
Is this possible?
For example, I’ve taken a photo of myself at Target, where their logo is visible and their decor is the main focus ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/minervana/4425745837/ ). I would love to know if it’s normal/acceptable/possible to maybe email someone in charge of Target ads and have them look at the photo. But then what do I say as far as asking them if they wanna pay me for this photo?
I would have put this in ‘Photography’ but I’m curious to see what responses I would get from the business/advertisement category

I believe you would need to get a hold of their HR department for corporate
i know there are some sights around where you can post pictures
and people buy them as like post cards
but i would need to look around more…
i got lucky with my freelance job working for my local newspaper
I met the guy during the La Canada fires, in Palos Verdes since we had a nice clear shot of the LA skyline and the fires above…
