What kind of jobs can I get with a degree in Photography?

I am going to school for a degree in photography,and I want to get a job working for a magazine when I get out of school, taking pictures. I have been given a lot of flak for going for an art degree, since most people assume they are useless. However, I feel that having a degree in it would give me an upper hand on competitors in that field. I was just curious however, if there were any other jobs that would be made better if I had a degree.
