Finding and recruiting art models for photography projects?

How to and does anyone have a Japanese version of a model release form.
I am not in Tokyo I am in the deep rural area of Kyushu so I am having a harder time with my assignments and projects so I am looking for any advice

Yeah I have one.
I was very active on MM and OMP when I lived in Hawaii and photographed perhaps 100 models for personal projects and a few editorial gigs for local magazines. I was also fairly successful approaching and convincing “the girl next door” types on the street to be photographed as well. Later I lived in Bangkok and found people open-minded and willing to try something different.

Japan is much, much different. People are familiar only with snap shots and studio type photography and reluctant and suspicious of anything else. I have a few Japanese photographer friends that report the same problems. I have been reluctant to give up because I have had great success where others have fallen short in other locales but Japan has me stumped.

The lack of spontaneity, trust, openness and interest in art of prospective models is a stumbling block I have yet to overcome.

Truthfully the modeling release is a non-issue. But I do have one if you feel you need it.
You have a right to your work as long as it was not taken secretively or against your models will.
You are also unlikely to prevail in a Japanese court against a Japanese citizen regardless of the wording of any release. You probably should avoid the release because 1. Under normal conditions it would not be necessary. 2. It would not be legally relevant in your case. 3. They might not understand the purpose of it and cause them undue nervousness.

Good luck.
