photography usage fees

What to charge for a full page 1 time usage fee for publishing photography in a high profile business magazine
I’ve marketed a piece of mine, 1891

to a high profile business magazine, http://www.douglasmagazine.com/
I recently got a reply stating:
“I am wondering what you charge for a full page, one time usage license.”
It’s a 9×14 image to be sized/cropped to an 8×10 approx magazine page.
I need worthwhile advise as to what to state as a price first off, as well as how to negotiate further if it comes to that.
Any help would be *greatly* appreciated.
You need to find out where it is being displayed, how many people will be seeing it and will it be used to make derivative work.
I didn’t see a Media Kit on the Douglas Magazine website so I’m not sure how many people subscribe. That is where you find out if you need that information – which will give you a general idea of number of people who will see the image.
A one time license for a popular magazine would be more than a one time usage for an unpopular website and resolution matters.
To find out a competitive cost, go to several stock photo sites and view their rates based on usage type. This will give you a very good idea of what to charge that is fair to you and the other person.
