does the light camera only take a pic of you when you run a red light that just switched?
after a rave, my friend was driving my car and he stopped at a red light. after 1 minute of waiting, the green arrow for left turn turned green… and he thought it was the green light to go forward. He accelerated and the 4 of us in the car were like, NOOO!!!!! CAMERA LIGHT IDIOT!!! That intersection had a camera light, but I wasn’t sure if the flash went off or not. Most cars I’ve seen that run red lights got flashed, but for me, I’m not sure. If it was during night time, I could’ve prolly tell… but it was sunny daytime,
I asked my friend and she said that the only time the camera takes a picture of your car is when you run a red light that has just switched to red… not after you’ve been waiting there for a long time.
Do you know if this is true or not? because I live in CA, and I think the price of running a red light is pretty pricey… $300??

Edit: The red light camera is rigged up to speed sensors that anticipate whether you’re going to run strait through or slow down enough to make the stop. By coming to a complete stop and then taking off, you should have avoided trouble. Time will tell.
