Arizona Tax Laws? Donations….?
I was looking for a wedding photographer, and received an e-mail from a photography company. But for pricing this is what it says
“In a state of Arizona , there is a state law that allows taxpayers redirect their taxable income to certain charitable organizations that are established for private education school’s.
In exchange for you and your spouse redirecting your tax dollars to our children, who are in private school, we would do the wedding for you at no cost.”
That seems fishy to me? Does anyone know what state laws they are referring too?
Dear Chris: It is true and I file these forms every year. See Az dept of revenue brochure 707. This credit is allowed for donations to certain private schools up to $1000 for married couples and $500 for singles.
Use forms 301 and 323.
This law is “The Arizona School Tuition Tax Credit Law”.
